FIRSTAVENUE presents the first concert of its 19th New York City season with Extra Esoterica, an evening of lush, high-tech, provocative and entertaining electro-acoustic improvisations for electric oboe, synthesizers, electric bass, computer and piano. Then, add to this extraordinary mix the electric violin virtuoso, Mari Kimura. Her graceful, maniacal utterances together with First Avenue's "delicious, puckish humor and remarkably complex interactions" promises an unparalleled evening of wondrous, original music analogous to the poetry of high energy physics.
